If you fall into any of the following categories, you ARE the "Responsible Person" for fire safety: ➡ Property Owner ➡ Landlord ➡ Employer ➡ Occupier ➡ Building Manager ➡Managing Agent ➡or Risk Assessor As the Responsible Person, it is YOUR duty to ensure that fire doors are correctly installed and maintained to meet compliance regulations. Fire safety is non-negotiable. Protect lives. Ensure compliance.

YOUR LEGAL OBLIGATION
As the Responsible Person, you are legally required to ensure that fire doors: ✅ Meet certified fire resistance standards ✅ Are installed correctly by Accredited professionals ✅ Undergo regular inspections and proper maintenance ✅ Remain unobstructed and fully operational ✅ Have the correct fire-rated components, including: Intumescent seals Certified ironmongery Proper gap tolerances & glazing Fire stopping & frame fixings Failure to comply may result in severe penalties, legal action, and—most critically—loss of life.

ENFORCMENT & ACCOUNTABILITY
🚨 The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 places full responsibility on the Responsible Person to ensure fire safety compliance. 🚨 Fire safety authorities CAN take enforcement action, including fines and prosecution, against non-compliant individuals. 🚨 If a fire occurs due to non-compliance, you COULD be held criminally liable.
